Sexual violence, apart from being a dehumanising act, is an unlawful intrusion on the right of privacy and sanctity of a woman. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act is gender-neutral and it does not discriminate or distinguish between a boy and a girl, as victim of sexual offences. The main approach and structure of the book have been retained in the Third Edition, however, with the addition of more case laws and citation of law journals this book has been completely revised.
