Part- I gives a short history of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council to the extent it exercised jurisdiction over British India, Part –II gives a brief history of Federal Court of India, Part –III summaries the deliberations of the Constituent Assembly with respect to the judiciary and to ensure a truly independent judiciary in free India, and Part- IV gives a brief history of the Supreme Court of India and still counting.
